HEALTH & SAFETY COMMITTEE
Siza Water operates a joint management–worker committee to drive a strong safety culture across all sites. Meeting monthly, the committee addresses key occupational health and safety matters, reviews incidents and deviations, and recommends corrective actions.

We track and assess statistics on occupational diseases, injury rates, lost-time incidents, and absenteeism. Our trained health and safety representatives bring valuable expertise and actively help maintain a safe and healthy workplace.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT
Siza Water’s occupational health programmes are fully aligned with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. These programmes support staff through:

• Health education to promote awareness and prevention.
• Guidance and counselling for work-related or personal challenges.
• Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) management.
• Primary health care services, including treatment of minor ailments and referrals where necessary.
• Workplace observation and intervention to promptly address potential health hazards.

Annual Medical Surveillance Programmes are conducted to monitor employees exposed to hazardous environments, safeguarding their well-being and maintaining a safe workforce.
